Do not delete files after x?

Greetings,

Firstly... WOW lovely script.

Now I have searched the forum and i have seen requests for being able to del files and a plugin but I want to know how I can store the files forever?

I am not running a public upload system this is for storing mods to a game called Omsi bus simulator. It will purely be there for the mod writters to be able to host their mods on a free system without limits.

Thanks for all the hard work.

Cheers

Glad you're enjoying our script.

Simple, just adjust the delete after x days option in the settings to an enormous number e.g. 9999999 or alternatively remove the delete script all together from the admin.php file.

I would just like to give you a heads up that in the newer version users will be able to register and manage their own files which in your case would make it easier on your mod creators.

Thanks for the quick reply. I set the del after x to -1 will that work also?

Q: What makes a person write a script of this quality and obviously must be time consuming write it and release it for free?

That should also work in theory, but I still recommend a higher value or deleting the delete script all together. However, there is no harm in testing.

A: A free script = more users which also = more bugs founders and hopefully will attract developers/mods to help out. The script is 100% free, however pre-releases are released to donators first and then after a period of time to the whole community. Donators have extra benefits than normal users and help keep DaddyScripts up and running.
