failed to upload from network drive (depends on browser)

first of all, i must say, wonderful script you've put there together. really like it, at the moment i'm testing to see if it really fits our needs and seems to be so until now at least. we'll see...

i had a few issues which i could easily resolve looking here in the forum, which leaves me to one issue which doesn't seem to have come up to yet:

if i upload a file, any size, format or whatever, if i choose this file in firefox (for i.ee Version 25) - the script blocks uploading and i get the notice, that the file exceeds my upload limit (512mb is set up) - if i use flash, it works.

doing the same with the internet explorer, i have no issues at all.

currently i'm running windows 7 x64 with ie 11 and ff 25 if that say anything.

did you run into this before?

any ideas what i could do?

Glad to hear that you're enjoying using DFH.

Basically, you're stating that when using Firefox v.25 and attempting to upload a file via the standard HTML form, you encounter upload issues. However, when uploading via Flash, it works fine?

correct, and with Firefox 25.0.1 too, uploading a file from a mapped network drive using the HTML form fails.
uploading a file via the HTML form which resides locally on drive C for example is no problem.

However, if you are uploading a file from a network share from Flash it works okay and this issue only occurs on FF? If so, this sounds more like an issue on how Firefox is dealing with uploads from network shares and nothing to do with the DFH or even PHP in this matter.

ok, i already thought the same. so its rather a browser issue, as all other browsers currently work like a charm.
still quite an odd issue though.

Suggestion: Inform FF of the incompatibility issue and see what they say about the issue. Please keep us updated.
