Not sure would this be due to the settings or the host.

Sometimes downloading can work perfectly after keying the security code.
Sometimes it doesn't. It either keep going back to the page to key in the security code, or will say that invalid download link. There are times when it doesn't return page not found (those usual error pages when the page is non-existance..etc)

when it says invalid download link, by hitting ctrl+f5 key to refresh the page, it worked, and the "run/save" prompt will apear.

Would this have to do with timeouts?

Nope. No modifications done, except to the php.ini.
I've re-do everything, and it's seems to be better now.
Except for downloading big files. not sure of the limit so far but the syntomes is -> Click on the download link -> Key in the security code -> Hit Download button -> Goes back to the download page to key in the security code.
It just keep looping.

I suggest hosting a file hosting service, for it to be hosted at a stable datacenter..

I suggest hosting a file hosting service, for it to be hosted at a stable datacenter..

btw, i realise, after keying in the security code, we must hit the "download" button in order for the save to prompt to appear.
if we hit "Enter" key upon finishing keying in the security code, it will definately show "Invalid download link. "
is this by design?

Yes, by default you are suppose to click on the download button, however this will be changed soon. :/
